Gay rights pioneers revel in progress of gay marriage...

It is surprisingly good and balanced, saying the obvious, that the first step sought by the movement was just to be left alone—no laws giving us special rights but getting rid of laws depriving us of rights, such as the sodomy laws.

It also shows the issue of not wanting to copy heterosexuals but also wanting the privileges that marriage gives—until those rights are given to all Americans.
